    Director / Writer / Producer Loren W. Lepre enlisted me to help shape his full-length feature film, THE DARK MILITARY, from the earliest screenplay drafts, to being a second pair of eyes on set, to editing and color correcting the final film. Of all the directors I've met, he granted me a full range of trust to a life-defining project for him.   

 

     Loren is the man behind FREEDOM SHORTS / LIBERTY MASSACRE - an ongoing short film festival held in Philadelphia produced by his company AVERAGE SUPERSTAR FILMS. The festival acts as a great networking event so when it came time to produce THE DARK MILITARY, Loren knew who to call on.. in front and behind the camera. Many of the projects I've been involved with had screenings at his events.

 

    One aspect of the film we been aware of is 'branding'. Making sure all of the promotion material is consistant, right down to the killer's own logo: A skull with wings designed in blood.

    The film's anchor star is R. Marcos Taylor from 'Straight Outta Compton' & 'Baby Driver' playing Cheif Pillman, whose police department is near-helpless as they discover a band of psychopaths are brutally murdering young people in a survival game.
