GEEKS, GIRLS, GUNS & GHOULS

Director, Co-Producer, Co-Writer, Visual Effects.

'GGG & G' was created as a faux movie trailer

as a pitch for a larger film project for producer Newt Wallen.

His original concept was just as the title suggests utiliting the urban legend of the 'POLYBIUS VIDEO GAME'. A video game that doesn't officially exist but is rumored to been created for diabolical purposes.

Filming took place at TNT AMUSEMENTS in Southhampton, PA where owner Todd Tuckey provided a video game cabinet that I turned into a POLYBIUS game based on online research.

I also had to invent the game play, based loosly on the game 'TEMPEST' that would allow players to unlock hidden Santanic symbols to unleash the demons inside.

I quickly storyboarded the enitre trailer from Newt's and Justin Silverman's notes and created a 'Story Reel' ( provided here ). The storyboard acted as our shot list.

A lot of AFTER EFFECTS were employed to create GGG & G. But I was also inspired by practial special effects from the 1980's. I used an old fish tank and filmed Halloween decorations with fiber optic lights under water to give

GGG & G a unique look.

Presented here is both the STORY REEL and the FINAL VERSION.
